What We Do
Resistile is able to reduce the risk of slip and fall accidents through a safe and reliable anti slip surface treatment.
Slipping and falling due to slippery wet surfaces is one of the highest safety risks within buildings and outside areas, whether it be a shopping mall, office space, hospital, gym, pool area and most importantly your home.
Slipping as a result of slippery surfaces when wet can cause serious harm, long term injury, decreased wellbeing and even loss of life.
What we do to make slippery floors anti slip and more resistant to slip and fall accidents:
Resistile uses a formulation known as IntellaTread® to treat surfaces that become slippery when wet.
The formulation has a chemical reaction with the pores of the surface which effectively increases the surface friction, improves the anti slip properties of the surface and therefore reduces the risk and danger associated with slip and fall type accidents.
The anti slip treatment is applied simply and safely onto many types of existing porous floors such as ceramic tile, quarry tile, terrazzo, concrete, brick, limestone, granite, slate, and pool decking. The anti slip treatment can also be applied to porcelain and enamel bathtubs and showers.
Following Resistile’s anti slip surface treatment, there is no waiting time and the floor instantly becomes safer to walk on when wet, avoiding injury, lawsuits and employee days lost due to injury. The anti slip formulation is world renown and is not a surface coating that can discolour, deteriorate or peel.
How We Do It
The anti slip formulation is a unique compound designed to react with silica sand in any mineral surface such as Ceramic Tile, Porcelain, Quarry Tile, Slate, Terrazzo, Granite, Cement and other Stone surfaces that become slippery when wet.
Microscopic Views
The result of the chemical reaction with the surface is a creation of thousands of microscopic crevices, a tread pattern that creates a suction cup effect when the treated surface becomes wet. This increases the anti slip properties of the surface.

While technically the IntellaTread® Anti Slip treatment should last the life of the tile, domestic floors are warranted for 5 years and commercial floors are warranted for 2 years.
In addition, IntellaTread® anti slip solution is the only product of its kind. It far surpasses all safety standards set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (O.S.H.A.).
Once a surface is treated with Resistile’s anti slip solution those surfaces are automatically skid and slip resistant when they become wet or moist.
As all floors are different depending on the type of material, age and use, and they are tested prior to anti slip treatment to ensure a quality professional slip resistant result.
